FastTrack ER

As an added service for treating emergencies that are not life threatening, we are pleased to offer FastTrack ER, an extension of our main emergency room. FastTrack ER is designed to care for anyone two years old and older with medical conditions that require treatment within 24 hours, but are not life-threatening.

Our FastTrack ER is open from 11:00am to 11:00pm, seven days a week. If the FastTrack ER is closed, you will be assisted through the main emergency room.

Advanced emergency technology

As part of our commitment to patient-focused care, we were the first hospital system in Southwest Virginia to use a new real-time, cloud-based communication network and mobile app that connects our hospital with emergency medical services (EMS) in the field.

This system enables emergency room physicians to diagnose a life-threatening event — such as a stroke, heart attack, shock or sepsis — before you even arrive at the hospital. It also enables us to activate the appropriate healthcare team to begin administering immediate, lifesaving care as soon as you arrive.

Information to know ahead of time

We want you to be as prepared as possible in the event of an emergency. So we provide you with information regarding directions to the hospital and what you need to bring.

Getting to our emergency room

Our emergency room is located on the right side of the hospital. You may park in the main parking lot outside of the emergency room. We also offer free valet during daytime hours.

Once you arrive inside the hospital, you may check-in at the kiosk, and one of our staff members will guide you to your next steps. Please bring an ID and your insurance card.
