Preparing for surgery

Before surgery, be sure to follow any specific instructions you receive. Make plans to have someone drive you home from surgery and stay with you for 24 hours. If you have additional questions about what to expect during or after surgery, don't hesitate to reach out to our outpatient surgical team.

Getting to the surgery center

Our surgical center is located inside LewisGale Hospital Pulaski. We suggest parking in the designated Ambulatory Care Services (ACS) parking lot between the emergency room (ER) and the cancer center. Once you walk through the ACS doors, you will see signs that guide you to outpatient surgery.

Our hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Visitor information

If you have a loved one in surgery, we know how important it is to get real-time updates on their procedure. That's why our nurses give periodic updates to our patients' families and friends throughout their procedures. We also offer surgery updates via text message. After surgery, a doctor will come to the waiting room to provide a final report of the procedure.
