Our women's health services

Our goal is to provide you with complete women's care in one convenient location. To do that, we offer the following specialty services:

Breast care

Breast care is an important aspect of every woman's health. That's why we provide breast care services, including mammograms and breast biopsies, to detect any breast abnormalities in their earliest stages.

Additionally, Richmond Breast Center, on the second floor of Chippenham Hospital, offers full-service breast surgery for those who may be diagnosed with breast diseases.

Schedule a Mammogram

You can now schedule a screening mammogram online. For assistance scheduling your screening or diganostic mammogram please call (877) 319-7744.

Cancer care

Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming—but the experts in our oncology program are with you every step of the way. The Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at our sister hospital, Johnston-Willis Hospital, has the experience treating a variety of cancers, including gynecologic cancer. From diagnosis through survivorship, our programs, treatments and services are tailored to your needs.

Emotional wellness services

Tucker Pavilion, our hospital's behavioral health center, offers specialized behavioral health services. We understand women's unique needs and requirements for treatment. Regardless of what type of support you need, we can help.

Our board-certified gynecologists (GYNs) and obstetrician gynecologists (OB/GYNs) provide comprehensive gynecology services. This includes regular screenings, in-office testing, advanced procedures and adolescent gynecology. We also offer access to specialized urogynecologic care, including pelvic floor physical therapy and surgical procedures, for bladder and pelvic floor disorders.

Infertility services

Our reproductive endocrinologists have extensive experience diagnosing and treating fertility problems. Through our endocrinology program, they are dedicated to resolving your conception challenges and helping you grow your family.

We offer a variety of options for this, including:

  • Embryo cryopreservation
  • In vitro fertilization (IVF)
  • Intracytoplasmic sperm injections (ICSI)
  • Oocyte donation
  • Ovulation induction and artificial insemination, including intrauterine insemination (IUI)

Maternity care

Chippenham Hospital's maternity care team delivers comprehensive prenatal care services, including high-risk pregnancy care with a perinatal nurse navigator, maternity classes and personalized birth planning. With options for low-intervention births, medicated births and midwifery, we'll help you create a birth plan that fits your needs and preferences.

Additionally, our birth center is designed with spacious labor and delivery, and recovery suites, a mother/baby unit with couplet care, advanced equipment and easy access to our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), should your baby need extra care. We have lactation consultants available for assistance as needed and we participate in the donor breast milk program. Our caregivers—including OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives—work closely as a team to ensure a safe, smooth labor and delivery.

We provide prenatal care and education opportunities for parents who are expecting. Our classes include labor basics, breastfeeding, online maternity tours and more.
