Orthopedic care

Orthopedists are doctors who take care of the entire musculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat conditions such sprains, strains, broken bones, arthritis and osteoporosis. Some of the treatments they offer include recommending lifestyle changes, applying casts and performing surgeries, such as ligament repairs or total joint replacements.

Orthopedic services we provide

Our doctors, nurses and therapists are specially trained to use advanced technology and techniques to treat even the most complex orthopedic conditions.

Nonsurgical approaches to care

When possible, we incorporate nonsurgical approaches, such as physical therapy and rehabilitation, into your care plan. Physical therapy can help you gain mobility and strengthen your muscles following an injury or procedure. Treatment may include therapeutic exercises for the affected area as well as applying heat, ice, ultrasound or electrical stimulation.

Joint replacement

If you need joint replacement surgery, our hospital performs both total hip replacement and total knee replacement surgeries. You'll receive joint replacement education before your surgery, with our doctors talking you through what to expect in each phase of the process.

Knee replacement

Our hospitals are known for their excellent joint replacement outcomes in both partial and total knee replacement, with total knee replacement patients spending very little time — usually two to three days — in the hospital after surgery. To achieve that quick recovery process, we use minimally invasive approaches whenever we can.

Hip replacement

Some of the types of hip surgery our orthopedic surgeons specialize in include anterior, partial and total hip replacement, as well as hip resurfacing.

Like knee replacement, whenever possible, our orthopedic specialists use robot-assisted technology to perform total hip replacements. It requires fewer incisions and causes less trauma to surrounding muscles and joints than traditional surgical approaches. This usually results in less pain, reduced scarring and a faster recovery for you.

Outpatient orthopedic clinic

Our specialists are available for diagnostic appointments and follow-up care in our outpatient orthopedic clinic. It is located in a two-story building adjacent to the main hospital. Free parking is readily available.
