About us

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is part of Richmond's West End and spans over five campuses. Read about our history and how we care for the health of our community.

Healthcare leaders in Henrico since 1974.

With specialty services spread across four community campuses, our doctors are able to provide the same level of care, no matter your location, no matter your condition.

Above all else, we at Henrico Doctors' Hospital are committed to the care and improvement of human life.

Envisioned, founded and supported by a group of independent physicians seeking to provide high-quality care in accessible community settings, we proudly serve Henrico County from our main hospital, as well as Parham Doctors' Hospital, Retreat Doctors' Hospital and Hanover Emergency Center.

We specialize in trauma, cardiovascular, neurological and oncology care, as well as groundbreaking diagnostic imaging. Our Virginia Transplant Center has become a national leader in kidney transplants, living kidney donations and paired-exchange kidney transplants.

Our women's health facility, The Women's Hospital, provides a full continuum of women's services, from breast health to obstetrics and gynecology to labor and delivery, with a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in-house as well. We also offer a suite of gynecological oncology services.

Through our partnership with Sarah Cannon, we have become positioned at the forefront of cancer care. Located in the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at our main campus, oncology at our hospital is led by an experienced team of experts that offer the best cancer care possible, with access to advanced technologies and evidence-based treatment options.

Lastly, our cardiovascular unit, The Heart Center, provides the cardiac treatments you need, including minimally invasive valve surgery, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve replacement, and coronary artery bypass graft (CABG).

Throughout all of our various specialties, our mission is to ensure that you have access to the best quality healthcare, right in your backyard in Richmond. We are honored to continue to serve you.
