Ryan DeWeese

Ryan DeWeese is the Chief Executive Officer at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

Ryan began his healthcare career as an Administrative Resident at Reston Hospital Center in June 2011. After his time at Reston Hospital Center, he served as Associate Administrator for CJW Medical Center, Chief Operating Officer and Ethics and Compliance officer for Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Chief Operating Officer at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center and most recently Chief Operating Officer at Ocala Health in Ocala, Florida.

Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Penn State University and continued his education to earn a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Ryan is married to his wife, Kara and they have two daughters, and are excited to return to the Fredericksburg Region.

Chief Operations Officer

Nathan Irwin

Nathan Irwin joins Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center as the Chief Operating Officer. Nathan has been with HCA healthcare for seven years. He began his career in the Gulf Coast Division’s Performance Improvement team in Houston, Texas, and later worked as a Management Engineer for HCA’s HealthTrust Workforce Solutions business unit. He has served as the Assistant Administrator in HCA Houston Healthcare’s Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, Texas, and most recently was the Associate Administrator at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.

Nathan has a Master in Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston, and his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee — Knoxville.

He lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia with his wife, Ashley, where they enjoy biking, hiking, and running.

Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Honaker

Jennifer Honaker, Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Honaker joins Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center as the Chief Financial Officer. Jennifer has been with HCA Healthcare for 12 years, having started her career with the company as a staff accountant, and most recently serving as CFO of John Randolph Medical Center in Richmond, Va. She has displayed significant skill in leading medical centers to financial growth and success during a period of rapid industry and regulatory changes.

Jennifer has her Masters' Degree in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University, and her bachelor's of science degree in health services administration from West Virginia University Institute of Technology.

Jennifer lives in the Spotsylvania area with her husband and two sons.

Chief Nursing Officer

Lee Van Sise, MBA, BSN, RN

Lee Van Sise, MBA, BSN, RN

Lee Van Sise joins Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center as the Chief Nursing Officer. A Registered Nurse, Lee brings over 22 years of experience with HCA Healthcare, most recently serving as the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at HCA Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. Lee is driven by our mission for the improvement of human life; and so, has a passion for the improvement of clinical quality outcomes and hospital operations. His extensive nursing background, with 10 years of nursing leadership experience, highlights his ability to develop, deploy, and implement enterprise-wide strategies for long term success.

Lee earned his nursing diploma at Jefferson College of Health Sciences. He furthered his education by obtaining both a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Organization Management from Jefferson College of Health Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. Lee went on to achieve a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University, and is anticipated to complete his Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2022.

In his free time, Lee enjoys traveling; specifically, a weekend getaway to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Vice President of Human Resources

Michael Pocchiari

Michael Pocchiari joins Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center with over 30 years of human resources experience. A native New Yorker, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in Economics, continued on to earn a Master’s of Education in Human Resources from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s of Arts in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University. Michael has been with HCA for over 7 ½ years.

Michael has worked in such industries as public education, non-profit, financial services, international insurance brokerage, entertainment, technology, and Healthcare. During this time, Michael has gained experience helping organizations manage change, restructure systems and processes and maximize individual potential.

Michael is a longstanding member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and holds their highest designation – Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Michael is an empty nester and looking forward to becoming part of the Fredericksburg community.
