Important information

The safety and wellbeing of all of our patients, staff, and community are extremely important to us.  We are excited to announce over the next several weeks, we will welcome back volunteers to the HDH campuses in non-patient-facing roles.  While we are excited to welcome volunteers back to our facilities, we are doing so as safely as possible by adhering to the most recent guidance provided by our Infection Prevention team, the CDC, and applicable state regulations.

Volunteer application process

Volunteers are a vital part of our healthcare team. Whether you are volunteering to give back to your community, to explore healthcare careers, or to utilize your skills in a new environment, you will be enriched by the difference you make and the lives you touch. Your role as a volunteer will help to support and enhance the exceptional care given by our professionals. We are looking for the best volunteers around; however, we do not consider short-term volunteer request, court mandated, and/or community service hours. We want our volunteers to enjoy their time at our campus; therefore, require at least 100 hours per year or a six-month commitment.

Take a few moments to review our various volunteer programs detailed on the HCA Virginia volunteer website. Once your application is received, Volunteer Services staff will contact you to set up an interview. All applicants must then complete required health and safety screenings.
