Richmond, Va. (Aug. 8, 2016) — HCA Virginia has announced that Jeremy Gray will serve as the new chief operating officer for Chippenham Hospital, effective Aug. 16.

“Jeremy is an accomplished leader with extensive experience and success in operational outcomes,” said Brandon Haushalter, interim chief executive officer of Chippenham & Johnston-Willis Hospitals.” He will be an extraordinary asset to our leadership teams as we continue to provide the best care for those in our community.”

Gray has served as the COO of HCA’s Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Florida. During his tenure, he was responsible for the hospital’s launch of Level II Trauma, while also leading major hospital renovations in the Emergency Department. In addition to these projects, Gray was charged with overseeing many of the hospital’s major service lines. Prior to that role, he was CEO of Haywood Park Community Hospital in Brownsville, Tenn.

Gray received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama and his Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He and his wife Holly will be relocating to the Richmond area with their three children this month.
