Richmond, VA (June 25, 2018) — HCA Capital Division has announced that Lesley Channell has been appointed to the position of Regional Vice President of Human Resources.
In her new role, Channell will work collaboratively with HCA’s corporate office, the division, and hospital leadership to create a workplace culture of excellence, evaluate talent needs and develop talent strategies, and be the champion for employee engagement activities.
“Lesley is a leader who understands the importance of driving employee engagement to build strong, committed workforces,” said Tim McManus, president of HCA Capital Division. “We know she will be instrumental as we further advance our efforts to becoming an employer of choice.”
Channell comes from HCA Capital Division’s Reston Hospital Center in Northern Virginia, where she was the vice president of human resources. During her time there, she developed and executed numerous nurse retention and leadership development programs and revamped the hiring and onboarding process. In addition, Channell was also instrumental in developing staffing strategy for large service line expansions.
Channell received her Bachelor of Science from Ithaca College, her Masters of Business Administration from Iona College, and is certified as a professional in human resources by the Society for Human Resources Management. She will assume her new role July 1 and will reside in Richmond with her husband Bruce and son Matthew.
