Richmond, Va. (March 3, 2014) — Dr. Kimberly Hemphill, PMHCNS-BC, administrative director of nursing at Chippenham Hospital’s Tucker Pavilion, recently was appointed to the Virginia Brain Injury Council.
Hemphill will hold a voting position in the statewide advisory council that advises the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, the lead state agency for brain injury.
“Kimberly’s leadership has truly made a difference in patient care outcomes and to our knowledge base in the field,” said Betsy Blair, chief operating officer of Tucker Pavilion. “We are proud of her continued efforts and her abilities to serve on behalf of patients and the care that they need the most.”
The Virginia Brain Injury Council is a statewide advisory council comprised of consumers, licensed, registered, and certified healthcare professionals; service providers; individuals not affiliated with any brain injury program, state agency representatives; and other ad hoc advisory members.
The mission of the council is to promote accessible, affordable, and appropriate services for Virginians with brain injury and their families by advising the lead state agency for brain injury, the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services.
