Cardiac Services

HCA Virginia Health System is the leader in cardiac services and surgery. Cancer Care

Cutting edge care ranges from the latest in diagnostic equipment to complex curative surgery, state of the art radiation therapies such as the Trilogy, a broad range of national clinical trials, complex infusion regimens at multiple outpatient sites and psychosocial counseling, support services and education at every location. Neuroscience and Stroke Services

Our hospitals offer a full range of neuro care, including the only Gamma Knife in the Richmond area, and the only 3-D digital bi-plane angiography unit, both at CJW. We have primary stroke centers, interventional procedures including kyphoplasty, spine surgery, and minimally invasive procedures such as carotid artery stent placement. We treat Trigeminal Neuralgia and offer brain tumor support groups.

Orthopaedic Services

We provide patients with individualized care and full rehabilitation programs with board-certified orthopaedic physicians who are experts in a wide range of services from minimally invasive joint procedures to sports medicine, total joint replacement, arthroscopic and spinal surgery. Complex Care

Our Complex Care service combines specialized nursing with low-level rehabilitative services to prepare patients with severe illnesses and injuries, and their families, for a return home or to the next level of care. From helping these patients relearn basic tasks to tackling larger challenges, our goal is to see they take a step in the right direction.

Pediatric Emergency Room & ICU

HCA Virginia offers a dedicated pediatric emergency room at CJW that is staffed 24 hours a day by board-certified pediatricians.  Children requiring critical care or close observation are cared for in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Hospitalist Medicine Program

The Hospitalists are leaders in the field of Hospital Medicine and frequently engage in teaching and research.  They provide 24 hour coverage for patients in our hospitals, coordinating care with primary care providers.

Sleep Disorder Center

Sleep disorder centers at hospitals in the HCA Virginia Health Systemo offer the latest advancement in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.  Highly trained specialists use state-of-the-art technology to monitor sleep activity.  Our dedicated physicians thoroughly evaluate each patient to determine the source of any sleep related problems.
